Two months old now, Arthur is smiling and cooing and interacting with everyone. He is also sleeping 10 hours each night and has happy parents 🙂 He is holding his head up, and is practicing using his legs to stand – he feels strong already! He still loves to cuddle and has a habit of dozing off in peoples’ arms.
Arthur’s first weeks
Time is flying by since Arthur’s arrival, it’s hard to believe we’ve just passed the 3-week mark! We are feeling very lucky, Arthur is amazing 🙂 He’s very cute and calm (except when he’s hungry!) and very curious. He’s lifting his head, and can now roll onto his side. He makes lots of entertaining faces and little noises, and loves to cuddle. Thanks so much to everyone who has come to visit or sent their congrats, we are all feeling very loved.
Here are some photos from the past weeks – he is growing so fast!

Thanks!
Dear Families and Friends,
Thank you so much for your presence around us on this special day, for all the messages, the visits, the phone calls. About a thousand views today on the blog, Arthur is now part of your lives.
Some more details about baby: he is 8lbs 10oz (3kg 920g) and 21in (54cm). His full name will be Arthur John Laurent Hervé de La Chapelle, middle name after the male grand parents.
Good night!
The world, Arthur. Arthur, the world.
Arthur, now one hour old, says hi!
We are proud to report the birth of our awesome son Arthur, this (way too early) morning at 3:54 in New York City.
Christine and Arthur are doing great!
Thanks for having been around and hang in there for the first pics…
At the hospital! Still!
First feat of awesome parenting on our part: baby has somehow already inherited our legendary sense of punctuality. His agent has informed us that he may be ok to meet us in the course of the night, if not tomorrow.
In the meantime, we’re posting a few outtakes stolen from the rushes of a photo shoot made by our talented friend Philippe Gosset. Last shot at stardom for us because I’m afraid that tomorrow belongs to baby.
At the hospital!
Fashionably late… Is this baby too cool for us already?
We are now definitely past the 40 week mark and getting a bit impatient to meet our little man. He’s measuring perfectly – 7 lbs 11 oz, (3.5 kg) and doctor thinks he will be here any day now. Fingers crossed!
If he does not make his appearance in the next few days, we have picked a date for him, so he will make his entrance at the latest the 18th of March.
Almost there!
Now 3 days away from due date, we will be updating this blog (hopefully) shortly with baby’s first pictures… Come on Christine now!
